Camp 2008

This is the second year I went to this Church Camp (Discovery Camp) and last summer, I got saved and completely changed my life around. When this summer came around to go to church camp, I found myself slowly falling farther and father away from God, so I went knowing I needed to get back on the right track.
We had three services a day, and during those services, I wasn’t really getting into it. While we were not in service, they had volleyball, waterslides, go-carts and a bunch of other activities, but while the kids were doing these and other things, they had a service for the leaders that anyone could attend. We didn’t know much about it, but two others and I decided to go.

When it first started, I was thinking “what have we gotten ourselves into”? It didn’t seem like I was going to get anything out of it at all. Then the preacher started calling everybody up to the alter who wanted to come and feel the anointing that he was feeling up there. I was more curious than anything, so we went up there. At first, I could not feel anything, but then he started laying his hands on people and when he did this he was saying that if you want this, come to me… that you will never be the same again, and then it hit me. That is what I want! This is what I cam here looking for! So I walked towards him with my hands in the air and praying harder than I have every prayed in my life. “I’ve broken my arm three different times, torn ligaments in my hand, and cracked three vertebras in my spine and I didn’t shad the first tear, but when that man laid his hand on me, I have never cried so hard in all my life. I could feel the Holy Spirit running through my body like never before.
