How to be saved

Salvation -

Salvation is the gift of God's grace given to all who believe on His Son Jesus Christ.
It cannot be gained by good works, but is a free gift for all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work on the cross.
All who put their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord have been forgiven and saved from their sins and declared righteous before God, and have been born into the family of God by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
God's purpose for saving you or I is so that we may bring glory to Him by our lives.

The Bible says that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” Romans 3:23
Because of our sinful nature we are separated from God and are unable to reach Him by any of our own actions as only perfection is acceptable to God. Since we are not perfect and none of us is able to be perfect, God sent his Son, Jesus, to earth to live a perfect life and to die in our place. “…while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” Romans 5:8.

To be saved from our sin we must receive Christ and accept His payment for our sin.

Only then can we truly be children of God. “As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name”. John 1:12

If God has convicted you that you are a sinner and separated from him and you want to become a child of God and turn from your sin and allow him to be the Lord of your life, you can ask him to come into your life right now and to forgive your sin. If you do you will become a child of God, a Christian, and be saved. Just stop and ask him right now.
The exact words are not important.  Something like, “God I realize I am a sinner and I want to give up my sinful life and accept Jesus into my life to become my Lord and Savior. I thank You now for forgiving my sin and giving me eternal life and ask You to guide me in becoming what You want me to become.”
“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life, he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that  you have eternal life” 1 John 5:11-13
God has given you forgiveness of your sin and you are now beginning your Christian life.

If you are not nearby email us and we will help you locate a local church where you can be nurtured and can grow in your knowledge of God.  This is very important as Satan will try to fool you and keep you away from all that God has for you.

Statement of Faith - the basics

The Holy Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures -- both the Old and New Testaments -- to be the verbally inspired Word of God, written by men in God's control, inerrant and infallible, in the whole and in the part, in all areas (including creation, science, geography, chronology, history, and in all other matters in which it speaks), in the original manuscripts, and the complete and final authority in faith and life.

The Godhead
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - who are identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and possess precisely the same attributes and perfection

The Condition of Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, in innocence and without sin. But in Adam's sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, became spiritually dead and alienated from God so that man is a sinner by both nature and imputation, thereby justly condemned to eternal damnation without defense or excuse, and man, of himself, is incapable of remedying his lost and depraved condition by any means whatsoever.

The Person and Work of Christ
We believe that God demands a life of perfect obedience to His law. That is complete and total righteousness. Thus, God the Son had to become man in order to provide for us what God the Father's holy nature demanded - perfect righteousness. Thus, the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God; having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He accomplished this redemption by voluntarily giving Himself as a sinless substitute.  His sacrifice on the cross satisfied God's righteous judgment against sin. He gave proof that He accomplished that redemption by His bodily resurrection from the grave. He then ascended to the right hand of His Father where He intercedes on behalf of those who have believed on Him.  Jesus is the only way for man to be saved and without receiving Him a person is lost and will die and go to hell.

The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Divine Person who convicts the world of sin; that He alone brings new life to those who are spiritually dead; that He baptizes (or places) all believers into the one true Church, which is the Body of Christ; that He indwells them permanently, seals them unto the day of redemption, bestows spiritual gifts upon them, and fills (controls) those who are yielding to Him to empower them for Christian life and service.
